Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is a property of about 130 hectares, 70 of which are occupied by vineyards. Also part of the company's estate is Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira, in the Upper Douro, with 114 hectares of vines. With a privileged location in the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century. As is usually the case with the great Quintas of the Douro, the origin of Quinta do Crasto dates back to distant times - the name Crasto derives from the Latin "castrum", meaning Roman fort.
